Classy filly Captains Mistress (Captaintreacherous) has arrived safely at Grant Dixon’s Brisbane stables.
“I had a report from Grant and she arrived in great order,” said the filly’s New Zealand trainer Nathan Williamson.
On the back of her win in the Group One New Zealand Sires’ Stakes Three Year Old Fillies Final at Alexandra Park, the three year old filly flew to Australia on Monday with the Queensland Oaks her main target.

“I said to Grant if he’s available I’d like him to drive her. I’d like to go over and watch her in the Queensland Oaks. If he decides to drive the other filly (NSW Oaks winner Cool And Classy) in those big races I might go over and drive her. It’s a case of what he decides really. If he thinks she’s the number one seed and wants to drive her I’d be rapt with that.”
Meanwhile two Williamson trained trotters, Hidden Talent (Bacardi Lindy) and Aroha Kenny (Love You) were at the Wyndham Workouts on Saturday as part of their preparation for the Group Three Haras des Trotteurs Heather Williams Memorial this Friday night at Addington.

“Happy with both of them. I’m not sure where Hidden Talent will race after that. She may have a wee break. The other filly may race through the winter in the Silk Road Trotters Series.”
Aroha Kenny is a new addition to the Branxholme stable after Nathan’s father Phil sent her south thinking she’d benefit from a swimming regime.
