The Mustang in top form

The smart Changeover gelding The Mustang completed back-to-back Gloucester Park harness racing wins when he led throughout on Friday night (April 21).

The six-year-old won effortlessly in a 1:56.7 rate for 2130 metres, peeling off the last 800 in 57 seconds. He has won five of his 10 starts in Western Australia and 20 races lifetime.

THE MUSTANG REPLAY

Changeover picked up a new two-year-old credit in the filly Tegan Lee, who won on debut at Redcliffe, while Merry Dancer earned a new speed badge of 1:57.1 at Melton.

Other Changeover winners this week have been Smooth Overarm NZ (Bathurst), Stirup Iron Jack (1:58.4, Bunbury) and the Kilcoy winners Chakana and Sammy’s Secret.

Changeover stands at Burwood Stud on Queensland’s rich Darling Downs.
