Love You filly Queen Elida made it seven wins in-a-row when winning the $80,000 Group 1 Breeders Crown three-year-old trotting fillies final at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night.
Trained by Brent Lilley and driven by Chris Alford, it gave the pair their second Group 1 success at the meeting after winning the Breeders Crown three-year-old boys trotting final with Aldebaran Zeus (Muscle Hill) earlier.
Queen Elida was the favourite to win the feature and she did not let her supporters down, cruising to a victory of more than two metres over Keayang Xena and Banglez.
She rated 2:00.3.
āI think sheāll measure up with the best free-for-all horses,ā said Alford.
āHer point-to-point speed will take her a long way.ā
Queen Elida began her racing career in New Zealand and in her three starts her best result was a third placing.
She broke her maiden at her second Australian start and has now collected 11 wins and five placings in 20 starts giving her earnings of $163,455.
This makes her the second-richest daughter of Love You bred in the Southern Hemisphere.
