Talented Warrawee Needy filly Rockindownuder, one of the first crop of the former world mile record holder who is now standing at Yirribee Pacing Stud, continues to prove herself among the top bracket of her age and sex in Queensland.
The filly, raced by a large group of owners, exploded along the passing lane to defeat older, more experienced rivals at Albion Park last Saturday (October 9) in a career-best 1:55.7 over 1660 metres.
Warrawee Needy, who boasts almost a 40 percent strike rate with his first Australian crop, was also represented by the three-year-old fillies Ripponlea, a winner in 1:56.8 at Newcastle, and Cash Queen (Redcliffe), along with a quartet of Canadian winners in Elroy Shiner (1:54), Reminisce Road (1:58.2), Tilly Dreamcatcher and Needingoffthegrid.
Renaissance Man, who is standing his second season at Yirribee, provided a brace of winners in WA with My Prayer, who led throughout in Free-for-all company at Gloucester Park, and Told You Twice (Bunbury).
The North America Cup winner Fear The Dragon achieved outstanding results both on and off the track in America last week. At the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale he had a filly sell for $80,000 and colt realise $60,000, while the two-year-old filly Katie Ann won in 1:56.6 at Northfield Park , Ohio.
Fear The Dragon has sired the winners of more than $880,000 with his first crop with 29 in 2:00 and eight in 1:55.
Classy Tintin In America youngster Teddy Disco notched his five success from eight starts at Redcliffe, while Titanium NZ (by Tintin In America) emerged successful in 1:57 at Monticello Raceway, New York and Dollarbill (by Million Dollar Cam) posted win No. 22 at Redcliffe.
Warrawee Needy, Renaissance Man, Fear The Dragon, Tintin In America and Million Dollar Cam are members of the Yirribee Pacing Stud sire lineup this season.
