Tiger Tara, the 2018 Inter Dominion champion and Horse of the Year who is now standing at Medowie Lodge, Newcastle (NSW), is building a fine percentage record of harness racing winners-to-foals.
With his oldest stock as five-year-olds, the Bettorās Delight horse sired three foals for three winners including the Derby winner King Tiger, while his third crop as three-year-olds has produced 11 foals for five winners. Overall, Tiger Tara has sired 22 starters for 12 winners and they have averaged $17,700 per starter.
And, with his biggest crops yet to represent him, Tiger Tara looks set to make an impact on the NSW breeding scene.
Tiger Taraās studmate, the Art Major horse Follow The Stars, continues to sire winners all over the country.
Recent winners include Stormboy Star, a winner at Albion Park and Redcliffe, Spun Silver (Cranbourne), Make It Quick (Bunbury) and Per Ardua Ad Astra (1:56.6, Port Pirie).
