When the two-year-old filly Sweet Tara won first race at Newcastle on Saturday night (October 26) in 1:57.4 she became the 13th individual harness racing winner from 23 starters sired by the Bettorās Delight double millionaire Tiger Tara, who stands at Darren Reayās Medowie Lodge stud in NSW.
Tiger Tara, whose oldest stock are four-year-olds, boasts an average of almost $20,000 per starter.
Other recent winners sired by him include the three-year-olds Tiger Prince 1:56.9 (Penrith) and Tufftiger (Globe Derby Park), and Tigerās Spirit 1:58.3 (Penrith).
Tiger Taraās studmate Follow The Stars left winners in three different States during the past month.
The list includes Nightwatch Star 1:57.5 (Newcastle), Follow Rocknroll 1:57.6 (Gloucester Park), Swooping Eagle (Redcliffe), Follow The Ark, Your Grace and Make It Quick (all Northam) and Ineeda Drink (Pinjarra).
Follow The Stars, a champion juvenile son of Art Major, has sired 49 individual winners and $880,000 progeny earnings to date this season.
My High Expectations, the multiple Group winning American import, was represented by the smart Albion Park winner in the three-year-old Northern Heights, who clocked a career-best 1:58.2 and lifted his stake tally to beyond the $50,000 plateau.
My High Expectations has left six winners from 12 starters from 25 foals three-years-old and over.
