Tintin In America.

Former New Zealand Four-Year-Old of the Year and Breeders Crown champion Tintin In America, who is now standing at Yirribee Pacing Stud, Wagga (NSW), sired two ‘new’ two-year-old winners in the space of three days.

Billy Glanvill won in a slick 1:57.1 at Penrith, while Tash’s Spartan scored at Leeton, taking Tintin In America’s tally of two-year-old winners this season to eight.

Other recent winners sired by Tintin were Nerano NZ, who extended his winning sequence to four at West Wyalong, winning by 15 metres in a 1:56.4 rate, and Rintin (1:58.4, Newcastle).

The Mountain, a three-year-old gelding and one of the first crop of the former world record holder Warrawee Needy, posted his 10th success in 26 starts at Leeton, while Just Plain Needy, a member of Warrawee Needy’s initial North American crop, won in 1:56.8 at Flamboro Downs, Canada.

Million Dollar Cam, the thrice NSW Sire of the Year, left a brace of winners in Canada in Doc’s Ronhenry and Mighty Mouse, and the Marburg (QLD) winner Dollarbill (1:58.8).

Renaissance Man produced another winner from his WA crops when Told You Twice scored for the second time at Narrogin. The Art Major horse sired 31 individual winners from 73 foals three-year-old and older – a creditable 43 percent strike rate.

Tintin In America, Warrawee Needy, Million Dollar Cam and Renaissance Man are all members of the Yirribee Stud sire roster for the 2021/22 season.
