Tontine rescheduled due to rain

Cancelled due to heavy rain, last night’s Tontine Pacers’ Final has been rescheduled.

With constant downpour making the Ballarat circuit unfit for competition, Harness Racing Victoria stewards abandoned the meeting.

As such, the Tontine Final has been shifted to Sunday, February 22.

The field and barrier draw will remain the same, with scratchings reinstated.

The A.J. Prendergast Memorial Oaks Trial will be re-scheduled to a later date, with an announcement is expected early next week.

The storm also hit Melton pretty hard, including a local creek breaking its bank.

As for the world class circuit at Tabcorp Park, it has coped well with the downpour and is expected to be in top condition for tonight’s stellar meeting.

Heading the action is the Inter Dominion heat, with rising star Lennytheshark the favourite from barrier three.
