THEY are some of harness racing’s most talented reinswomen ever seen in Australasia and they will go head-to-head in the $50,000 Lexus International Lady Drivers’ Invitational at Tabcorp Park Menangle on March 1.
The New South Wales Harness Racing Club this week announced the stellar line-up, which includes multiple title holders.
Recent record breaker, Lauren Panella, heads the New South Wales list.
Panella became the youngest female in Australia to steer 500 wins thanks to her treble at Menangle yesterday.
Panella, 21, is currently Australia’s leading reinswoman having registered more than 100 wins this season.
Not far behind her is dual-state driver Amanda Turnbull, who last year became the youngest driver to obtain 1000 wins.
Also invited to take part in this race is Natalie Rasmussen, the first female driver to win an Inter Dominion, as well as Kerryn Manning, who has basically set the benchmark for female drivers in Australia, Jodi Quinlan, one of the only reinswomen to win a Miracle Mile, and defending champion, leading Queensland reinswoman Narissa McMullen.
