Top young driver Jack Callaghan has had a major year in the sulky that was topped off with yet another milestone on the weekend.
The 20-year-old reinsman won on the Michael Doltoff-trained Promiseland (Bettorās Delight) at Penrith last Sunday (Aug. 7) giving him his 400th winner.
Promiseland is a two-year-old filly that has now won three of her six starts including the Group 2 Pink Bonnet at her second start.
Callaghan has driven the filly twice and has an unbeaten record on her.
Callaghan has only been driving for five seasons and has already obtained six Group 1 wins and five of those have been this year.
Callaghan heads back to Penrith on Thursday (Aug. 11) where he drives in five of the seven races.
Callaghan sits on 112 wins for the year.
