Promising filly Tradie Lady (Trixton) matched her manners with her considerable talent when she outclassed her harness racing rivals in tonight’s $125,000 Haras Des Trotteurs Nutrien Equine Classic (3YO Trotting Fillies) Final at Bendigo.

Sent out a $1.95 favorite, Tradie Lady trotted away safely from the mobile and settled mid field in the running line before driver Mark Pitt eased out three wide with 600 metres to travel.
Tradie Lady quickly rounded up the leaders around the final bend and careered away on straightening to score by 15 metres from Shes Ruby Roo in a mile rate of 1:59.5.
Pitt said the daughter of Trixton showed further improvement from her heat win at Kilmore.
“She trotted super tonight and was a different horse to the one we saw at Kilmore,” Pitt said.
“Once I got away safely I was happy that she would trot all the way,” he said
Pitt said he was content to bide his time during the race on the popular elect.
“They ran the race at a strong tempo so I was happy to sit in on her until I had to make a move down the back,” he said.
Pitt predicts the winner will play a role in the remaining feature races this year.
“We still haven’t seen the best of Tradie Lady, I still think there is more to come from her later this year,” he said.
