Emerging, young trotting sire Trixton produced two important Stakes winners in North America on Friday (September 11) and has jumped to fifth position on the USA 3YO Sires' Premiership.
Jula Trix Treasure, a three-year-old colt, came from midfield to win the $167,000 Simcoe Stake in 1:53.8 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Canada. It was his third win for the year and increased his bankroll to $160,827. Threefiftytwo (by Royalty For Life) was a close second.
The Trixton three-year-old filly Common Sense S was an effortless winner of the $45,000 Garden State Trot in 1:55.4 at Freehold Raceway, New York.
Cuatro De Julio, a two-year-old colt by Trixton, became the fastest two-year-old trotter in North America this year when he captured a $40,000 division of the Kentucky Sire Stakes at The Red Mile in 1:51.8 earlier in the week. The colt has won eight of his 10 starts so far.
Trixton's progeny has earned almost $1.7 million to date this year.
Brilliant Royalty For Life three-year-old filly Warrawee Vicky took out a $88,895 division of the Simcoe Stake at Woodbine Mohawk Park in a new lifetime mark of 1:54 last Friday night. She has won three of her six starts in 2020 for $111,776 in stakes.
