Four superbly bred trotters are among the additional nominations for harness racing’s 2022 Bathurst Gold Crown Yearling Sale to be held on Sunday, March 20 at 11am at the Bathurst Paceway.
Heading the list is a Majestic Son half-sister to the NSW 2YO Foundation Trotting Final placegetter Major Creation and from the immediate family of the Derby and Oaks winner Galleonās Paradise, King Galleon and last weekās Group winner at Melton in Electrojet. She is Lot 50A.
A Great Success colt from a winning half-sister to the NZ Great Northern Breeders Stakes winner Princess Mackendon and the NSW Foundation and La Coocaracha winner Sassy Pants is listed as Lot 10A. The champion Kiwi trotter Vulcan, the Derby winner Custodian and Genius are close relatives of the colt.
Lot 20A is a colt by the world champion Father Patrick out of Star Of Jordaine, a winning half-sister to Pure Adrenalin ($341,762), Positivlydangerous ($122,071) and to the dam of the $190,000 winner Goldstar Invasion.
A filly from the first crop of the brilliantly fast Cantab Hall horse Volstead is listed as Lot 36A. Sheās the first foal of the four-time Menangle victor Mingara ($81,594) and belongs to the same family as the Inter Dominion heat winner Game Paul and the Rowe Cup winner Paulette.
Thereās two additional pacing yearlings ā both by the great Art Major ā in the sale.
Lot 30A is a half-brother to the APG heat winner Sea Hawke ($99,809) and a close relative of millionaire Colt Thirty One and the dual Oaks winner Cherry Cheer, while Lot 40A is a half-sister to the dual Breeders Crown heat and SA Sires Produce winner Canada Bay ($114,670).
