Former European Grand Circuit star Quaker Jet is leaving some smart young trotters from his first crops in Victoria.
With his oldest stock racing as four-year-olds, Quaker Jet has left 13 winners from 24 foals including the very promising Quake Proof, who posted his third success at Cranbourne on Sunday (September 26).
Revelstoke, a two-year-old filly by Quaker Jet, and one of his small third crop, completed back-to-back successes when she boomed home in 58.1 seconds to win effortlessly at Melton on Tuesday night (September 28). She is a very good youngster.
Quaker Jetās sire, the French champion Love You, has enjoyed a purple patch with his progeny, especially his three-year-olds.
Love You left no less than six individual three-year-old winners on both sides of the Tasman in the space of three days!
In New Zealand, Love You was represented by the talented Wanna Play With Me, who notched her fifth win at Addington, Jasinova (Cambridge Raceway) and a ānewā winners Cruise Liner (Auckland) and Doctor Lavros (Winton).
Locksley Lover, a gelding by Love You, hoisted a new lifetime mark of 1:59.9 winning for the third time from six starts at Bendigo, while Parisian Artiste posted his second success at Cobram.
Kyvalley Surfrider NZ, a four-year-old by Love You, was a very impressive winner at the Melton midweek meeting. It was his third success.
Orlando Vici, a nine-time Group winner in Europe, has left another rising star in the NZ bred, Victorian-trained three-year-old Ollivici. The gelding completed a winning hat trick when he demolished his rivals at Melton recently, reeling off a 58.9 last 800 to win by open lengths.
Quaker Jet, Love You and Orlando Vici are members of the starstudded Haras Des Trotteursā sire roster at Ballarat (Vic.).
