Two from two for Team Tindale

There’s nothing like starting off a new working relationship on a strong note, and that’s certainly been the case for Berringa trainers AJ and BJ Tindale.

The stable was one of the many beneficiaries of Emilio Rosati’s split with Anthony Butt and Sonya Smith, which saw the leviathan owner farm out many of his horses to other operations around the state.

The Tindales picked up three youngsters and have already landed wins with two of them.

Beautifully-bred filly Coral Stride – a half-sister to superstar pacer Wolf Stride – scored an all-the-way victory on debut at Terang last week, before Lady Stride broke through at her first run for the new yard at Horsham on Monday.

The daughter of Somebeachsomewhere led easily from barrier three for driver Greg Sugars, and despite looking under pressure at the home turn, responded to take out the Decron Horse Care 2YO Maiden Pace (1700m) by two-and-a-half metres.

“It’s not every day that two Somebeachsomewheres and a Captaintreacherous turn up on the doorstep, so we were quite pleased with those,” AJ said.

“We do our best with every horse that comes through the stable, whether it is a sister to Wolf Stride or one we’ve got starting for us first-up Friday night who’s an eight-year-old maiden.”

The last of the Rosati-owned trio to join the team is Cobalt Stride, who Tindale said was probably a month off a trial.

Another of Rosati’s horses scored for a new trainer at Horsham, with Vanquish Stride too good in The Weekly Advertiser 3YO Pace (2200m).

The son of Bettors Delight was having just his second run for Charlton-based horseman Shane Sanderson and was driven by his son Ryan.
