WA Juvenile Trotters Transition Series

Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA) will again conduct a combined 2YO and 3YO Juvenile Standing Start Trotter Series this season. Commencing in May, the series will be hosted at Pinjarra Paceway. 

The six race series, conducted on a fortnightly basis will carry special standing start handicaps with distances being varied on a race by race basis.

Stakes for 2YO and 3YO trotters for each race in the series will be $6,000, with Westbred Bonuses applicable.

RWWA will commit to running these races providing a minimum field size of five can be achieved. In order to ensure the success of this series, a 2YO or 3YO Trotter needs to be in work and qualified to race by the end of April 2019.

• May 4th        Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps
• May 11th      Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps
• May 25th      Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps
• June 1st       Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps
• June 15th     Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps
• June 22nd    Pinjarra $6,000 SS Combined 2YO/3YO Special Handicaps

Conditions: TROTTERS SPECIAL HANDICAPS STAND (Level 1)

A 2YO Maiden will be handicapped off the Front.

A 3YO Maiden will be handicapped off 20 metres where the race distance is 1631 metres and 30 metres where the race distance is 2116 metres.

A winning performance during this Series will incur a 10m handicapping penalty in any subsequent race in this or a future Series.

In addition, a winner will incur the relevant HWOE penalty which will be applied in any race outside this or a future Series.

A horse having won a race outside this or a future Series will be handicapped in accordance with the penalty that would have applied in the Series.

A minimum of five suitable acceptors is required for this race to be run
