Super harness racing sire Sweet Lou is booked out at a service fee of $15,400 this season and all frozen semen from ill-fated American Ideal has been allocated in Australia.

Sweet Lou is leading the two-year-old and three-year-old Australian sires lists. He already has 19 2YO winners ($430K earnings) and 70 3YO winners ($1.5mil).
He is third behind Bettors Delight and Art Major on the overall leading sires table with 217 winners of $5.1 million in stakes. His progeny in America have earnt more than $68 million.
His multiple Group 1 winning son Never Ending ($600K) is flying the flag Downunder this season. He returned with a slashing win in the $50,000 WA Winter Cup at Gloucester Park on July 12 and has been confirmed as a runner in the $2.1 million The Eureka in September.
And his daughters are just as potent, with six fillies in his top 10 Australian earners ā including multiple Group winners Steno (1.51.9, $378K) and WA Oaks favourite Water Lou (1.55.2, $345K).
South Australian breeders Hampton Farms will offer three Sweet Lou weaning fillies and one yearling filly from outstanding families in the APG mixed sale.
Lot 2Ā ā a weanling filly from Bondi Miss (Somebeachsomewhere). Dam is a half sister to outstanding filly Our Golden Goddess (1.53.1, $442K) from the family of champion pacer Sushi Sushi. This is the same cross as 2023 US 2YO filly of the year Geocentric.
Lot 22Ā ā a weanling filly from Royal Delera (Falcon Seelster). This is the family of millionaire pacers Il Vicolo and Stunin Cullen.
Lot 25Ā ā a weanling filly from Sign Logic (Life Sign). This filly is a half sister to eight-time winner Thiswaytothebeach. Also from the highly prolific Il Vicolo family.
Lot 39Ā ā a yearling filly from Royal Delera.

Lot 27, Our Ultimate Lizzy, is a young Sweet Lou mare in foal to Art Major. She is a half sister to Escalera (1.50.1, $240K) and Triple G (1.56.5, $100K). Her third dam, Lisaleen, is a full sister to Albert Albert ($1.2mil) and the dam of Lis Mara ($2.2mil).
American Ideal died suddenly last year, leaving a huge hole in the Australian breeding scene.
He is third in the Australian three-year-old sires list with 44 winners of $975,000 and fifth on the overall leader board with 178 winners ($3.5mil). His US progeny have earnt $171 million.
Woodlands Stud spokesman Mark Hughes said Australian breeders had snapped up all the available frozen semen from the champion sire.
But he has three fillies in the APG mixed sale ā one weanling (Lot 6) and two yearlings (Lot 31Ā andĀ Lot 171).
He also has three broodmare daughters in the sale ā the standout being young mare Miramanee. She is a daughter of Group 1 placegetter The Baggy Green (1.57, $108K) and a half sister to 2YO Vicbred final winner Stormryder (P2, 1.53.1, $193K).
Miramaneeās grandam is champion race filly Lady Waratah ($564K), dam of Australian Gold Bullion winner Steno and Some Waratah (1.50.3, $233K).
High quality mares Punch Line (Lot 134, from the sensational Lifeline family) and Beach Shack (Lot 74, from a sister to Christian Cullen) are in foal to American Ideal.
