A yearling trotter eligible for $1million worth of harness racing futurities sounds like a good offer.
And that is the case for the Volstead colt that will go under the hammer at the Australian Pacing Gold Sydney Sale this Sunday.
Lot 670 will be the last horse to go through the sale ring but is worth the wait being eligible for both the APG races series as well as the Nutrien Equine Classic Race Series.
Out of the Bacardi Lindy mare Amarula, this colt is also eligible for Bathurst, the Breeders Crown, Need For Speed and Vicbred.
He is consigned and prepared by Troy Williams of Grinner Lodge Racing Stables.
āHe is the last lot to go through the sale and is a nice and correct colt,ā said Williams.
āHe was purchased at the Nutrien Weanling Sale so is paid up for the Nutrien Series and being sold at the APG Sale as a yearling, is eligible for the APG as well.
āI canāt think of any other horse eligible for both seriesā and being paid up for a number of other races, he is eligible for more than $1million worth of races as a two, three and four-year-old.ā
Lot 670 is the second foal out of his mare and the first colt.
