Winners…winners…winners!
When examining this colt’s bloodlines, one pattern begins to emerge – his family is crammed with winners.
A handsome brown yearling, the colt is heading for Saturday’s Sydney Australian Pacing Gold Sale as part of the Yirribee Pacing Stud offerings.
Set to enter the ring as Lot 383, the colt is by former American Three-Year-Old of the Year, Well Said, which became just the second pacer to capture USA’s ‘big three’ – The Little Brown Jug, Meadowlands Pace and North America Cup.
In his homeland, Well Said’s progeny have been commanding plenty of attention, with Lot 383 one of only two colt’s by the stallion in the sale.
As for the maternal line, he is the second foal from exceptionally-bred mare, La Promesse.
La Promesse is from broodmare gem Promise, which boasts nine winners from 10 starters, including Sir Galvinator ($516,723), Espirt De Kaijay ($455,053) and Bronski Gorgeous ($210,622).
The family also includes General Bronski, Benefactor, Brigadier Bronski, Major Bronski and Admiral Bronski.
Along with being in the rich APG race series, Lot 383 is eligible for the Australasian Breeders’ Crown, Bathurst Gold Crown and New South Wales Breeders’ Challenge.
