Remember The Alamo (Captaintreachous) upset the field of seven pacers at 12-1 odds. Doug McNair found a comfortable sport in fifth place until he made his move deep down the stretch to win by a nose. The Tony Alagna trained colt finished second back-to-back times to begin his racing career. Now he has his first career win with a mile time 1:51.2 attached.
REMEMBER THE ALAMO REPLAY
The $50,000 Dream Maker final is set for Aug. 12.
James Macdonald got (three wins on the night). He kicked off the card with a steering Zebs Breaking Dawn (Hes Watching) to a new lifetime mark of 1:53.0. This is also the four-year-old mare’s third straight win. Zebs Breaking Dawn made the Woodbine Mohawk debut and did disappoint by winning wire-to-wire.
Macdonaldās second win came in the third race of the evening with the three-year-old filly Century Jamila (Bettors Delight). Another wire-to-wire win for Macdonald, and this race went in 1:51.3. Century Jamila has won back-to-back races and posted the same mile time in each. She now has six career wins after not racing as a two-year-old.
Mollop Hanover (Betting Line) was Macdonaldās partner for the third win of the card. The fifth win in nine career starts for the young filly pacer. This is Mollop Hanoverās first trip to the winnerās circle since mid-May. Anthony Beaton trains the young Pennsylvania-bred filly.
Woodbine Mohawk Park will have another 10-dash program on Saturday, Aug. 5.
