The harness racing longshots reigned on Thursday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and the parade of upsetters was led by Savoir Duharas (Sunshine Beach), who prevailed in a photo at 37-1.
The gelding, who was beating 19 lengths in the same class last week, struck first from post five for Doug McNair before letting Hapuna Beach (Jean Rene Plante) take point at the quarter in :28.4. He maintained position through the middle half panels of :58 and 1:27.2.
Savoir Duharas left the pocket at the top of the lane and forged to lead but was beset by three closing opponents. Speedy Blinders (Trevor Henry) split through and charged in deep stretch, but Savoir Duharas hung on to win by a nose in 1:56.3.
Keystone Tenacious (Billy Davis Jr.) closed for third, a half-length behind at the line.
