Chelsis Choice (Big Jim) passed every harness racing rival in the last race at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday (Sep. 5) in a 41-1 upset.
Tyler Borth took the mare back off the gate, taking up the trailing position to the quarter in :26.3. With the leaders battling, Chelsis Choice moved outĀ coming down the backstretch and advanced on cover through middle fractions of :55.2 and 1:24.3.
The mare fanned wide from fourth-over coming off the final turn and began to pick off rivals, reaching top speed in mid-stretch. She rolled by them all and held off the surging Royal Tell (Travis Cullen) to score a last-to-fast victory in 1:53.1.
Royal Tell was second, followed by Stonebridge Drama (Austin Sorrie). The winner returned $84.10.
