Journeyman trotter Workinitonbroadway (Broadway Hall) added a 47th win to his career tally as he took the top conditioned harness racing contest at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (May 14).
Donnie Rankin guided his gelding to a wire-to-wire victory, putting up fractions of :30, 1:00.4, and 1:30.1. Monteverdi (Natasha Day) went first-over on him turning for the backstretch and grinded away into the stretch. He kept closing all the way to the line, but he couldnāt crack Workinitonbroadway, who held on by a neck to win in 1:59.4. Stonebridge Zeus (Scott Wray) was three lengths back in third.
