The sixth harness racing dash at The Raceway at the Western Fair District ended as a no-contest due to a one-horse fall approaching the half.
Hes Got The Money (Betterthancheddar), driven by Travis Cullen, broke stride while first-over approaching the half and fell in the process. The judges quickly declared a no-contest as the field moved towards the third turn. No other horses were involved in the accident. Ā Hes Got The Money ran loose for several minutes before he was caught. Both horse and driver were unharmed and Cullen continued to drive.
Hes Got The Money, a four-year-old, was two-for-three on the year heading into the contest. Patrick Bissett trains the stallion for Gary Stoddart of Wingham.
Racing will resume at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Friday, Feb. 17 at 5:50 p.m. EST.
