The harness racing judges declared the ninth race at Flamboro Downs a no contest on Thursday (Nov. 30) due to an accident on the second turn.
Cutting Class, racing seventh, broke stride and backed into last-placed horse Woodmere Alvin (Colin Kelly). The sulky of Cutting Class tipped and spilled driver Travis Henry, who remained down on the track. Woodmere Alvin stumbled, but both Kelly and he remained upright. The race was called a no contest as Cutting Class ran loose with the field on the backstretch and Henry stayed down.
ACCIDENT REPLAY
Henry got up and walked off limping while Cutting Class was loose for several laps of the track before trainer-driver Nick Boyd caught the gelding.
Henry was later medically cleared and drove in race 10.
