All Out Marilyn (Mister Bianco) snatched the headlines in the final harness racing division of the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots on Monday (Jul. 17) with the fastest time of the first leg for two-year-old trotting fillies.
The filly, off at 8-1, enjoyed a pocket seat from the first turn to the top of the stretch. Louis-Philippe Roy directed her to the outside, and she soared by pacesetter Beach Bank (Trevor Henry) and mid-stretch leader Rhythm Of Life (James MacDonald) to win in 1:57.3. She caught the latter by a neck. West River Ivory (Paul MacDonell) came on for third.
ALL OUT MARILYN REPLAY

R Liza (Muscle Mass) was the next-fastest winner, soaring late after taking a third-quarter shuffle to grab the third division in 1:58.3. Tea Lake (Rick Zeron) cleared to the front in the stretch but was unable to hold off the winner, finishing second by a half-length. Shetrotsalot (Henry) finished third.

It was Birthday Moneyās first win in her second start. Matt Bax trains the filly, a homebred for Bax Stable of Campbellville and Marshall Bax of Hamilton. Sheās out of the Federal Flex mare Parkhill Nocredit, who also won a Grassroots division at two in 2016.
Sue Anne (Muscle Mass, Roy) upset at 8-1 in the second division. She flew past rivals late from fifth and denied Her Currency (Bob McClure), who broke and was 23 lengths back at the quarter, a superb comeback win by a head. Karens Dream (Beau Brown) held a cushion into the closing stages but finished third.
