Four starts, four scores.
American Risk (American Ideal) stayed undefeated this season with another victory in the Truro Raceway top harness racing class on Friday (May 27).
The six-year-old hit the quarter first in :27.2 after firing away from post six and swinging wide through the first turn to acquire the front. Andrew Campbell worked out a second-quarter breather for the gelding as Vines To Heaven (Redmond Doucet) began a first-over rally approaching the half in :57.
Those two battled down the backside over the wet Truro surface and hit three-quarters on level terms in 1:26.1. American Risk started to shake loose as the field turned for home, and the gelding kicked clear in the stretch for a one-and-a-half length victory over the closing Johnnywalkerdelux (E?? Mackay). Vines To Heaven was just behind in third.
