Andy Over (Andovers Son) erased his 2023 goose egg in his fourth harness racing start with a wire-to-wire victory in the Preferred Trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (Jan. 24).
The gelding, who drew the nine-hole but got post two thanks to a scratch, grabbed the early lead and pocketed Esquire (Tyler Borth), who left to his outside. Andy Over set :28.2, :58.4, and 1:28.2 fractions unopposed and cruised to a two-length score in 1:58.1 with Ed Hensley aboard. Esquire towed along in the pocket and was second by two lengths. Jayport Hi Class (Greg Dustin) finished third.
