Andy Over (Andovers Son) won his first Preferred since February in the top harness racing trot at The Raceway at the Western Fair District on Tuesday (May 7).
After settling third through the :28.3 first quarter, Ed Hensley moved him to the outside approaching the half in :58.4. Andy Over overpowered the leader to hit the top entering the backstretch but was met with the first-up advance of Marvin Hagler (Brett MacDonald) after three-quarters in 1:27.
Marvin Hagler persisted, and Bucktober (Tyler Borth) and Lass Shot (Garrett Rooney) charged from the back in the stretch, but Andy Over had the victory well in hand and wrapped it up with a length-and-three-quarter margin in 1:57.
Bucktober beat out Lass Shot for place.

Andy Over, trained by Ashleigh Hensley, is now six-for-16 on the year. He has his the board in each of his past six starts. The seven-year-old has won 34 of his 170 starts and has earned $263,568. Ed and Ashleigh Hensley own the gelding.
Rooney won four of the nightās 10 races to extend his lead in the trackās driversā standings.
The Raceway at the Western Fair District resumes racing at 5:50 p.m. EDT on Friday, May 10.
