Ontario star Twin B Archie (Archangel) bested his three-year-old trotting rivals in the $165,725 open harness racing division of the Simcoe on Saturday (Sep. 3) at Woodbine Mohawk Park for his fourth stakes win of the season.
Sent off at 1/2, the gelding gave up two spots off the car but, just past the quarter in :27.3, circled to the front. James MacDonald carved out a :56.4 half and 1:25.1 three-quarter time for the SBOA Stakes winner and rounded the turn on top.
Twin B Archie then powered to the finish to score in 1:53.2.
Duly Resolved (Paul MacDonell) cut down the deficit to a half-length at the finish. Safe Conduct (Chris Christoforou) was a length behind in third.
