The next wave of harness racing champions will be introduced on Oct. 7 during the 2022 Atlantic Classic Yearling

Sale in Crapaud, P.E.I., with catalogues available this Saturday (Sept. 10).

The sale is set for 2 P.M. on Oct. 7, with over 120 yearlings catalogued to sell at the Crapaud Exhibition Grounds. An online version of the catalogue as well as pedigrees and the current Outs List are currently available at www.atlantic-classic.com and www.peiharnessracing.ca.

“The commitment and investment that Atlantic Canadian breeders have made is evident while looking through this year’s line up,” says Nicholas Oakes, Chair of the Atlantic Classic Yearling Sale.

“The 2021 edition broke nearly every record on the books, and we have another great roster set for this year with a beautiful facility layout for stabling and viewing the champions of tomorrow. There will be no registration necessary this year as everyone is welcome to attend and as a special thank you for their business, buyers from the 2020 or 2021 sale can request a reserved table for their group from Sale Manager Julie Jamieson no later than Sept. 23.

“We thank everyone for their understanding the past two years during the pandemic and on behalf of the Sale Committe I can say we are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to Crapaud in 2022.”

The Atlantic Classic Sale Committee would ask all consignors have their horses on site and prepared for viewing by 10 A.M. the day of the sale.

Anyone wishing to receive a catalogue via mail is asked to send their name, phone number, mailing address, and number of books you would like to receive to peracing@eastlink.ca before September 15th.

Online bidding will be available once again through Live Auctions 2.0, to register to bid online you must contact Jamieson to get approval by calling (902)-569-1682 or emailing peracing@eastlink.ca. To make sure you are approved to buy, bidders are asked to register for online bidding at least 24 hours in advance. Online accounts can be created here with live streaming available at that web address as well as at the  Universum Media Channel 2 – Youtube.
