Bee Two Bee circled the Preferred 2 field at a rain-soaked Georgian Downs on Tuesday for his second straight win after eight losses to begin the harness racing season.
Scott Coulter dropped the stallion back to last, and the pair faced the mud kicked up by their four foes through the quarter in :27 and half in :55.4. Bee Two Bee moved second-over after the midway mark and was fourth at three-quarters behind the uncovered Cyclone Joe (Doug Brown).
Coulter sent Bee Two Bee three-high on the home turn, and the horse responded with an immediate surge. He rolled by his opponents in short order and sealed the 1:52.3 victory by three quarters of a length. Pedro Hanover (Colin Kelly) earned a place cheque. Royal Renegade (Ed Hensley) was third.
Bee Two Bee, a four-year-old by Sunshine Beach, surpassed $100,000 in earnings with the victory, his 10th lifetime in 44 starts. Craig Gilmour trains the horse for ICR Racing of Pefferlaw.
Bee Two Bee paid $4 to win.
Scott Coulter continued his winning ways during the evening, adding two more victories. Paul Mackenzie matched Coulterās success with a triple of his own.
Georgian Downs will be back on Saturday, Jul. 3.
