CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The spotlight shines brightly on the $5,100 Preferred Pace in race 12 Tuesday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park as red-hot Bee Two Bee (Sunshine Beach) looks to extend his harness racing win streak to seven straight.

First race post time is scheduled for 6 P.M. for the 13-dash program that was postponed from Saturday due to extreme cold weather on Prince Edward Island.

Bee Two Bee leaves from post 5 with Jason Hughes back in the bike for trainer Ashley Gamester and owners Donald MacRae and Blair Maclauchlan. The nine-year-old Sunshine Beach stallion has been dominant during his current run, showing the ability to win on the front or come from behind against top company, and gets assigned the outside again this week.

Brigus (To be driven by Adam Merner) has rail control in the feature for trainer Nicholas Oakes after a 1:55 open-length win in his latest.

Malignity (Paul Langille) holds down post 2 after winning his last two starts while TH Boomtown is another major threat from post 3 with Gilles Barrieau aboard for trainer Ron Matheson after winning last week’s feature in the absence of Bee Two Bee.

Post 4 belongs to Captainofrocknroll (Ken Murphy) who has banged away with second and third-place finishes in his first two Red Shores Preferred tries.

The Post Time Picks go with Bee Two Bee to win his seventh straight.

“To say Bee Two Bee is sharp may be an understatement considering he’s reeled off six in a row at Red Shores Charlottetown. He’s on the outside looking in today but judging by the lines Hughes won’t wait long so we’re calling for seven straight wins.”

In the undercard, the $2,800 PEISHOA Pace in race 7 has Mr Rielly the morning-line choice from post 1 for trainer-driver Corey MacPherson owners Jim Gorman of South Melville and Darlene Compton of South Pinette. The son of Steelhead Hanover will look to recover from a break in stride in his latest.

St Charlesfireball lines up from post 2 with Jason Hughes while Uriel Blue Chip gets post 3 for Murphy. Power Of Four (Ryan Desroche), Buddysnvirgins (Barrieau) and a returning Maintenance Man (Merner) rounds out the field.
