Bee Two Bee pocket rides at Charlottetown

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Bee Two Bee (Sunshine Beach) received the garden journey in the Saturday night preferred pace and turned it into harness racing triumph at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The $4,500 Preferred Pace had Wind Blown (Driven by Paul Langille) bounce to the lead in the opening quarter of 27.3 with race favourite Bee Two Bee (Jason Hughes) watched in second through splits of 56.2 and 1:24.4. The stretch drive saw Bee Two Bee reach up to win by a neck in 1:52.4 for trainer Ashley Gamester and owners Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge and Blair MacLauchlan of Charlottetown. Wind Blown was second ahead of Roll Em (Marc Campbell).

The Corey MacPherson stable tripled up with Langille driving Howmac Exclusive (Source Of Pride) to a 1:57.4 upset at 17-1 in the race 3 Wade Poole Memorial and MacPherson driving Evil Vintage to a placed-first victory in the race 7 Silverhill Buddy Retirement Pace in 1:56.1 and Mr Rielly to a 1:56.1 win in race 11.

The race 6 David Cook Memorial went to Solid Silver (Mystery Chase) (Ken Murphy) in 1:56.3 for trainer Stacey Darrach.

Driver Marc Campbell scored a triple with Talk Some Smack (1:57.3) for trainer Todd Walsh in race 5, Heave Away (1:54.3) from the Walter Walker barn in race 10 and Bacononabiscuit (1:55) for trainer Adam Merner in the race 13 finale.

Live racing continues Sunday afternoon at 1 P.M. at Red Shores Summerside featuring an all-stakes cards with the Atlantic Sires Stakes.
