Oh A Legend (Bit Of A Legend N) dominated her harness racing opposition to sweep the preliminary rounds of the Blizzard Series for three- and four-year-old pacing fillies and mares on Thursday (Jan. 23) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Oh A Legend winning the Blizzard Series first division

Driver Tyler Borth floated the 1/9 favourite forward from post seven, leaving her parked around the first turn to take the lead past the quarter in :28.3. Oh A Legend provided :58.2 and 1:27.3 middle fractions, cruising on top around the final turn.

Pursued by pocket-sitter Stag Royal (Scott Young) and the first-over Night Danver (Trevor Henry), Oh A Legend kicked away coming down the stretch and powered home to win by four-and-a-half lengths in 1:56.4.

Cocco Puff Power (Doug McNair) and Space Cadebt (Mike Whelan) closed for second and third, respectively.

OH A LEGEND REPLAY

Oh A Legend is now an eight-time winner with $90,941 in bankroll from 25 lifetime starts. Chris Bush trains the four-year-old for Bernie Klacer and Bush Racing.

Absolution (Mcwicked) took the second Blizzard Series division. The mare, third-over with a head of steam at the top of the stretch, fired from sixth to first in the final quarter and drew off to a two-and-a-quarter-length victory in 1:59.

Dirty Diana (Henry) finished second, holding off the closing Whiskey Blue Chip (Mario Baillargeon).

ABSOLUTION REPLAY

Absolution, who debuted late last year, is now three-for-10 lifetime with $34,600 in earnings. The four-year-old homebred is conditioned by Jack Moiseyev for Joanne Colville and Nancy Macnevin.

Early-season stakes action continues at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday, Jan. 24. First post for the 11-race card is set for 6:30 p.m. EST.
