Harness racing driver Tyler Borth added another five victories to his sizable totals on Friday (Apr. 21) at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.
The driver won half the card, beginning with Mystical Gal (Pang Shui) in the first. The mare led at every call and completed the victory in 1:56. Borth co-owns the four-year-old mare with Katie Macneil, who trains her, and Robert Sparling Jr.
MYSTICAL GAL REPLAY
His next victory came with R J Hooker (Glidemaster) in the third. He guided him three-wide turning for home, and the gelding finished better than the four-wide Hallway Babe (J. Bradley Harris) to win by three-and-a-half lengths in 1:58.2.
R J HOOKER REPLAY
Borth went back-to-back in the sixth and seventh. He cruised with Il Sogno Dream gelding Acefortyfour Elvis in a seven-and-a-quarter-length romp in 2:01, then got Squadron Seelster (Sportswriter) up in 1:58.3 with a late rush.
Kevndan Fraudsters (Betterthancheddar) pulled the reinsman to a quintuple in the finale. The Doug Currie-trained gelding crushed his opponents by five-and-a-quarter lengths in 1:56. David Oickle and Gregory Tuckwell own the seven-year-old.
KEVNDAN FRAUDSTERS
Borth is Canadaās leading driver in wins with 126 so far this year. He is also the leading driver at The Raceway at the Western Fair District with 176 victories in the October-May meet, 45 clear of the second-placed Travis Henry. He is currently on pace for more than 400 wins this season.
The Raceway at the Western Fair District is set to resume on Monday, Apr. 24 at 5:50 p.m. EDT.
