Tyler Borth capped off his dash-winning driving season at Hanover Raceway with a victory in the Bud and Ethel Fritz Memorial on the harness racing track’s closing day on Saturday (Sep. 16).
In his final win at the track of the year, the reinsman rallied Coz Im Special (Mystery Chase) from third to first down the stretch to win in 1:58.2. He slid her out three-wide around the far turn and got her up to beat mile-cutter Rose Run Vortex (Paul Mackenzie) and Y S Delight (Todd Ratchford) by a half-length. Coz Im Special, a five-year-old, is trained by Shayne Barrington for Hanover local and track announcer Rick Rier. She has won 14 of 76 career starts and has earned $165,025.
