Young harness racing trainer Katarina Bosnjak took her first win at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (Feb. 4).
Her Huntsville gelding Call Me It took over just past the quarter after leaving behind three rivals. He then set fractions of :29.1, :58.3, and 1:27.1 and cruised to a 1:56.2Ā maiden-breaking victory in his third career start. Louis-Philippe Roy guided the sophomore to the two-and-three-quarter-length win.

Bosnjak made 74 starts in her first training season last year, winning four. Saturdayās win, in addition to being her first at Canadaās premier oval, was her first of 2023. She is now one-for-11 this year. Call Me It has earned $10,540 for Jjs Stables of Grand Valley. He was first with trainer AmandaĀ Fine before Jjs Stables bought the gelding in November 2022.
Also on the card, Points North (Somebeachsomewhere) got on the board with his first victory in five tries in the conditioned feature. The Carmen Auciello trainee raced third much of the way but motored to the front late to score in 1:50.2. He beat pacesetter American History (Roy) by a half-length. Dontpokethedragon (Travis Cullen) got up for third and narrowly missed the place cheque.

Points North, an eight-year-oldĀ gelding, has won 38 of his 158 appearances and has earned $758,944. Jim Winske of Marlborough co-owns him with David Winske of Hudson.
