CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Blood Money (Sweet Lou) put the finishing touches on a six-pack for driver Marc Campbell during a special Boxing Day harness racingprogram at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Orwell driver steered Blood Money to a front-end score of 1:55.3 in the $3,500 Preferred Pace from his own stable for owner Dr. Mitchell Downey of New Brunswick. Stash It Away (Driven by Gilles Barrieau) swept up from last to finish second ahead of Burn Out Hanover (Brady Sweet).
Campbell also won with Brookdale Maggie (2:02.3) for trainer Phil Sizer, Painted Pony (2:00.2) for Raymond White, Dreamfair Zenfire (1:55.4) and The Lady Sheriff (1:58.2) from his own barn and Premier Joy A (1:56.1) for conditioner Jennifer Doyle.
Doyle also celebrated a training win with Elm Grove Mistress (1:57) in line to Jason Hughes for her 50th training win of the season from her Earnscliffe operation.
Dealin Magic (Wheeling N Dealin) won the race 10 Waiting On A Woman retirement trot in 2:00.3 for trainer-driver David Dowling. Waiting On A Woman, the richest Atlantic bred ever born on P.E.I., finished his champion career with a final lap around Red Shores Charlottetown during the card.
Corey MacPherson had a pair of wins as a trainer-driver with Mr Rielly (1:56.4) in the Preferred 2 Pace and Cheekie Play (2:02.3) in his Charlottetown debut.
Gilles Barrieau had three driving wins on the day for the triple with On The Minute Mark (2:00.4) for trainer Jeff Lilley, Selkirk Echo (2:00.3) from the Ron Matheson stable and Pictonian I Am (1:58.3) for trainer Robert Phillips.
Jk Last Chance won his $2,800 assignment in 1:56.3 in race 5 for his fifth straight win for trainer-driver Kenny Arsenault.
Total wager was $108,618.
