Stash The Cookies (Sunfire Blue Chip) went wire-to-wire in the Fillies and Mares Preferred at Century Mile on Friday (Dec. 1) to give harness racing driver Brandon Campbell his fifth win of the day.
The mare cut the mile in her 99th career start, setting quarters of :28.3, :57.2, and 1:25.4. Outlaw Sharktastic (Nathan Sobey) pushed along first-over but capitulated at the head of the stretch. Stash The Cookies completed the job, holding off Gold Onthehorizon (Phil Giesbrecht) by a length-and-a-quarter in 1:54.2. Sunshineatthebeach (Jamie Gray) took the show spot from the pocket.

Stash The Cookies surpassed $300,000 in career earnings with the victory, her 29th lifetime. John Chappell trains the mare for Derek Gilbert of Brandon. The seven-year-old has now earned $306,359.
Campbellās other winners on the nine-race card were Rezies Gal (Tajma Hall, 1:58), Ima Beach Diva (Sunshine Beach, 1:56.3), Outlawstormywether (Blue Burner, 1:56.2), and Portaj (Tajma Hall, 1:58.3).
Century Mileās Saturday card, beginning at 6:15 p.m. MST, will feature a Preferred Pace.
