CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Ladylike (Shadow Play) will try her luck as the morning line favourite while down a class on Thursday evening (Oct. 13) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Ladylike (#1) in prior win at Charlottetown Driving Park

The capital oval has an 11-dash program dialed in for a 6 P.M. start time on Thursday evening.

Ladylike is the top choice in the race 10 Fillies and Mares Preferred 2 pace for $3,000 with Corey MacPherson getting the catch driving call for trainer Colin Johnson and owner Debbie Element of Village Green.

The mare had been racing the top mares on the Eastern Seaboard but drops a notch on Thursday while drawing post 2 in the mid-week featured pace.

The hard leaving Elm Grove Mistress has rail control for driver David Dowling and conditioner Jennifer Doyle while Atlantic Star (Mike McGuigan) has the outside post 8 while also dropped from Preferred 1 company. Also in the field are Filly Forty Seven (Jason Hughes), Plain Jane (Marc Campbell), Ms Moyse (Adam Merner), Better Be In Love (Dale Spence) and Ill Tell Me Ma (Gilles Barrieau).

The Post Time Picks like Ladylike to get it all. “Ladylike has missed the ticket in her last two starts but was battling outside posts. It looks like she may be able to draft all the way from here and if that’s the case she may even reach up and nab the gold.”

Jessiejesorjessica is the top choice in the race 9 featured trot from post 7 in the $2,600 class. Dowling drives for trainer Doyle. The Justice Hall six-year-old was victorious her last start in the $7,500 Island Oceans Trot Classic Gold final, presented by JD Marine and Diving Inc. Her top rivals on Thursday include Freddie (Campbell) and Windmeredontuworry (MacPherson).
