Canadian trotter ready for Elitloppet 2025

The last Sunday in May will be the first time we will see him in Europe.

Canadian Logan Park (Archangel) is ready for Elitloppet 2025.

– Logan Park is a very exciting horse who has shown both quickness of start and sharp speed. It will be a great feature to see him measure his strength against our top European horses, says Elitlopp manager Anders Malmrot.

The last time a Canadian horse started in Elitloppet was in 2022 when Perfetto finished fifth in his attempt. Now it’s time for Logan Park, who has been named Senior Horse of the Year two years in a row and holds the Canadian record of 1.08.0 for senior stallions and geldings.

A brilliant 2024 can be summed up with twelve victories in nineteen starts with triumphs in the major races Earl Rowe Memorial in Canada as well as the Dayton Trotting Derby and FanDuel Open Trot Championship in the USA. Logan Park also participated in the International Trot, also known as the World Trot, at Yonkers Raceway where he finished fourth behind the winning Jiggy Jog.

Now a Solvalla adventure awaits the circle around the horse, which Anders Malmrot revealed during Saturday’s V75 Direkt on TV4.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 23-25, 2025. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different heats with eight horses in each. The top four in each heat meet in a final where the winner receives five million kronor.
