Former Grand Circuit starter Carter Michael Deo (International Moni) won his second straight race after a seven-month layoff on Monday (Dec. 4) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
James MacDonald repeated the tactics he used to guide the colt to victory in his return, taking him back to sixth. Southwind Domino (Jody Jamieson) provided the quarter of :28.3 before Stonebridge Bravo took over and cut the second panel of :57.3. Carter Michael Deo joined the outside flow third-over as the field turned for the stands.
He remained on cover through three-quarters in 1:26.4 and fanned out at the head of the stretch with five horses to beat. The colt kicked home with Dont Treat Me Bad (Austin Sorrie) but out-closed him to contest the leader in the final stages. With Stonebridge Bravo battling to the last, Carter Michael Deo soared by him in time to score in 1:56.
Stonebridge Bravo was a game second over Southwind Domino.
