Millar Farms filly Chelseas Twilight (He’s Watching) bottomed out her harness racing rivals at Grand River Raceway on Wednesday (Jul. 20) in her second lifetime start, more than a year after making her debut.
She was quickest off the start and was under a tight Jason Ryan hold as she led to the quarter in :28.4. The filly got her way and paced out to a four-length advantage by the half in :58.1.
She expanded the gap to five-and-a-half in the third panel, hitting three-quarters in 1:28.3, and gave Ryan nothing to do as she steamed home to score in 1:57.3.
Tora The Explorer (Travis Henry) was in a world of her own, four-and-a-half lengths adrift in second. Cove Beach (Scott Coulter) finished third, more than 10 lengths back. The public sent the winner away at 2/5.
