SUMMERSIDE, PE – Wearing the colors of his Hall Of Fame Great-uncle Harry Poulton, Brett Clow notched his first lifetime harness racing win with Bold N Bad (Badlands Hanover) on the Tuesday (June 27) evening card at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
The 18-year-old New Haven rookie hustled race favourite Bold N Bad to the front in race 3 of the program and never looked back through splits of :29, 1:00, 1:30.3 and 2:00.2 for a six-length decision in career milestone fashion. His mother, Deanna Clow, owns and trains the eight-year-old who notched lifetime win number 11 of his 84-race career.
Spicey P captured the $3,200 featured pace in 1:56.1 over Sauble Attack (Driven by Dale Spence) and Soccer Hanover (Corey MacPherson). Jason Hughes trains and drives the winning pacer for owner Robi Hughes of Stratford.
MacPherson scored a driving triple on the card winning the opener with Dusty Lane Zendaya for trainer Alexis Gass in 1:58.4 then race 2 with Dizzy Miss Lizzy in 2:02.4 for trainer Ron Gass. The finale saw MacPherson steer Frontier Cruise to victory for the Belliveau family of New Brunswick stopping the clock in 1:56.2.
