Filly Watcher (Betterthancheddar) shocked the public at The Raceway at the Western Fair District by breaking his maiden from post eight in his second harness racing career start atĀ 49-1.
The colt got away fifth for Garrett Rooney and pulled first-over nearing the half in 1:02.3, pushing forward to the leaderās wheel disc by three-quarters. Pacesetter Lyons Gerrard (Jean Rene Plante) put up a fight into deep-stretch, but Filly Watcher battled on to pull off the upset by a quarter-length in 2:02.4.

Filly Watcher qualified in 2:06 and finished seventh by eight lengths in his debut. Troy Cochrane trains the three-year-old for Susan Micks of Aylmer.
