Daddy Let Me drive won the Inverness Raceway harness racing feature for the second time in three weeks on Wednesday as he held the lead throughout the contest.
Rodney Gillis pointed the son of I Can Only Imagine to the front and the start, and the gelding out-left his four rivals to take point. Daddy Let Me Drive laid down :28.4, :58.4, and 1:28.4 fractional times and kept three eager challengers behind him as he closed out the victory in 1:57.2. Rockemsockem Scott (John Gerard Kennedy) came up short in his last-to-first attempt, finishing second. Dan Dar Mal (Alexander Mac Neil) was third.
DADDY LET ME DRIVE REPLAY
Daddy Let Me Drive, a seven-year-old gelding, has now won 23 of his 155 starts and has made $137,832 lifetime. Donald Beaton of Port Hood owns and trains the horse.
