Dahlquist Hanover (Walner) won the Preferred Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Wednesday (Mar. 6) after having only five days of rest.
Travis Henry was able to find Dahlquist Hanover’s space in the pocket as the field of six hit the backstretch for the first time. The Great Reset (Lorne House) led the way and opened with a 28.0 first quarter and a 58.1 half-mile. Traffic started to form around Dahlquist Hanover, and he was boxed down the backstretch. Tijuana Seelster even took over second place for a while. It wasnāt the stretch Dahlquist Hanover was able to find space. He snuck up the inside track and won in 1:57.2.
The Great Reset held on for second and El Toro Loco (Garrett Rooney) finished third.
DAHLQUIST HANOVER REPLAY
He was previously entered in the Open at Buffalo Raceway on Mar. 2 where he finished second place. The four-year-old gelding has won two of his last three starts and has earned $15,230 over that span. He has three wins in ten starts this year and now has visited the winnerās circle 11 times in his career. Garry Merner trains Dahlquist Hanover and he was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms.
Travis Henry finished the night with two wins. Garrett Rooney also scored two wins while Tyler Borth picked up the hattricks in the bike.
