Del Diggity (So Surreal) lowered her lifetime mark in a harness racing romp in the first leg of the Fillies and Mares Pop-Up Claiming Series on Tuesday (Jun. 4) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
After claiming the lead from fourth on the backstretch for Doug McNair, she added to her advantage and entered the stretch up by three. She kicked home in :27.3, raising the margin to three-and-three-quarter lengths as she completed the victory in 1:53.4. Acefortyfour Daisy (Sylvain Filion) and Italia Seelster (Louis-Philippe Roy) were second and third, respectively.

It was a second straight win for the mare, and it saw her claimed from owner Andrea Leon and trainer Garry Merner. The six-year-old, now owned by Kevin Skilton and Tyler Schlatman, has won 23 times and has earned $150,075 in 101 career starts.
Battle With Desire (Thinking Out Loud, Trevor Henry) took the other split of the series and was also claimed. She scored in 1:53.1, a career best, and changed hands from Brian Lamarche to Mickey Sudar. Bernard Willis trained the seven-year-old to the win, the conditionerās first of the year.
