SUMMERSIDE, PE – Doc Awesome (All Bets Off) rode the two-hole to victory in the Monday afternoon harness racing feature during a special Labour Day presentation at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

Paul Langille provided the winning steer for trainer Duane MacEachern and owners Darla MacEachern, Allen Gaudet and Mike Cameron, all of Summerside. The $3,000 event had Sauble Attack (Driven by Ken Murphy) come first-up and finish second in the 1:57.1 mile ahead of pacesetter and eventual third-place finisher Freemans Legacy (Jaycob Sweet).

DOC AWESOME REPLAY

Sinbuster Six led all the way in the race 2 Garth Schurman Memorial to win in 1:59.1 for the trio of driver Jason Hughes, trainer Blaine McKenna and owner Ronnie MacLean of Argyle Shore.

Egamer won the Labour Day Pace in race 8 as part of a Brady Sweet driving triple. The O’Leary driver sat the two-hole and shook loose in the stretch to win in 2:00.1 for trainer Garth Cole, who co-owns with Hailey Cole of Kensington. Sweet also scored wins with Just Shocking (1:58.2) for trainer Rick Armstrong in race 7 and Thinkingofeddie (1:58) in race 6 from his own barn.

The Earl Watts stabled delivered a double on the program, both with David Dowling in the bike, as Rock The Baby (1:58.2) won race 9 and Starship Glyde (1:56.4) landed on top of race 12. Dowling also won race 10 with the Chris MacKay trained Wickham (1:58.4) for the triple.

The Joe Baxter stable made a pair of trips to the winner’s circle including a maiden breaking score with Miss Believing (2:03.1) in race 1 and with Bettim Alive (1:59) in race 5 for the Lazarus N colt’s third straight win. Murphy was in the driver’s seat for both Baxter wins while the Harrington driver also drove St Barts (2:00) to victory in race 4 for trainer Clifford Murphy.

Live racing continues Thursday evening at 6 P.M. at Red Shores Charlottetown.
